These three guys spent 4 months in Elizabeth City going through the US Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer Training School (see the movie The Guardian – filmed partly at the base here in E-City). Although I am not a country music fan, this couple and this wedding are ALL country! Tucked away in southern Kentucky was this sweet chapel, where these two were married. So I had to make an effort at putting their story to a country music song, and here’s how it turned out…

I’m excited to be leaving the wedding industry and moving back to my true passion, but this right here is what I will miss. A bride who is so in love with our work, who has been so anxious to see our creative take on her wedding day, and then to hear about the tears and joy it brought her to view it — that’s good stuff right there! Antwan + KC’s wedding back in June marked the first time we collaborated with Dora Manuel of Viva Bella Events. When we asked Dora and her husband Steven to be guinea pigs for our experimental ‘new BABY film,’ little did we know that their documentary would be our first and last such production! We also had no idea that we had more than just the wedding business in common — we were also connected by the same church, Crossroads, and therefore the same Savior! What a cool thing God did in connecting us — it’s been a treat getting to know these guys, and to be able to bless them with a film documenting the birth of their beautiful daughter, Joy.

But back to the wedding! The groom here is former UC Bearcat and Cleveland Brown, Antwan Peek. He is a BIG dude, but such a gentle giant! KC was a beautiful bride, and they put together an all-star cast of vendors. This was one hot day, but a good one! Check out their trailer…
